Abstract

Abstract

The development of imaging technology in the diagnostic field is very rapid today. The x-ray system generates a current that will heat the filament until electrons are ready to be released from the filament. This causes serious problems for the radiologist who must establish a diagnosis from the images produced by the radiographer. The basis of this research is the change in the milliampere variable with a fixed time. The research subjects were radiologists as observers to determine the results of radiographic quality, especially artifacts that appeared in the image. This research was conducted at the Radiology Installation of Gunung Jati Hospital, Cirebon City using a Hitachi CT Scan aircraft, this research was carried out in March - July 2019. Research tools and materials used Anthropomorphic Phantom, Hitachi CT Scan aircraft, Digital camera, Viewing box, Stationery, Questionnaire. The results showed that there was a significant difference in image artifacts on CT Scan examination of the head of the cranial base region when given the milliampere-second variation. This is also seen from the results of the analysis using the Friedman test method which shows that there is a significant difference in image artifacts on a CT scan of the head, especially the cranial base area with the provision of milliamperes variations. In the CT scan of the head, especially the base of the skull, to get good image quality, it is necessary to pay attention to the selection of the right scan parameters and because the results of this study cannot be generalized to all CT Scan aircraft or to the types of organs being examined, further research needs to be done. by using a wider variety of equipment with a larger number of samples and involving more respondents.
