KONSUMSI KURMA (PHOENIX DACTYLIFERA) TERHADAP PENINGKATAN HEMOGLOBIN PADA REMAJA DENGAN ANEMIA

Abstract


Anemia pada remaja merupakan keadaan dimana kadar hemoglobin (Hb) dalam darah pada remaja <12 gr/dl. Remaja yang mengalami anemia dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan organ reproduksinya. Penatalaksanaan anemia remaja dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian tablet Fe dan meningkatkan asupan gizi dari makanan seperti asupan kurma. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsumsi kurma terhadap peningkatan kadar hemoglobin pada remaja. Desain penelitian ini adalah quasy eksperiment dengan 2 grup pre post design dengan jumlah sampel 30 remaja dengan anemia di Kota Batam. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pemberian kurma ajwa 100 gr perhari selama 4 minggu kepada kelompok intervensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kadar Hb pada kelompok intervensi sebesar 0,89 gr/dl yaitu dari 11,13 gr/dl (sebelum pemberian buah kurma) meningkat menjadi 12,02 gr/dl (setelah pemberian kurma). Hasil analisis bivariat dengan uji T didapatkan p value = 0,000 artinya secara statistik ada perbedaan yang signifikan rata-rata kadar hemoglobin antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol. Diharapkan remaja dapat memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisinya sehingga remaja tidak mengalami anemia.

Abstract 

Anemia in adolescents is a condition which the hemoglobin level in the blood of adolescent is <12 gr/dl. Adolescents who experience anemia can affect the growth and development of their reproductive organs. The intevention of anemia’s adolescent can be done by administering Fe tablets and increasing nutritional intake from foods such as dates. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of consuming dates to increasing hemoglobin levels in adolescents with anemia. The research design is quasi-experimental with 2 pre-post design groups with a sample size of 30 adolescents with anemia. The research was conducted by giving 100 grams of  ajwa’s dates per day for 1 month to the intervention group. The results of the research showed that there was an increase in hemoglobin levels in the intervention group 0.89 gr/dl, namely from 11.13 gr/dl (before giving dates) increased to 12.02 gr/dl (after giving dates). The results of  bivariat analysis usethe T test showed p value = 0.000, meaning that statistically there was a significant difference in the average hemoglobin levels between the intervention group and the control group. It is hoped that adolescent can fulfil their nutritional intake so the adolescentdo not suffer anemia.
